These terms govern your access to and use of Lexfold. Please read them carefully.
1. Acceptance of these terms
By creating an account or using Lexfold, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you are using Lexfold on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these terms.
2. The service
Lexfold lets you author, version, and publish legal pages and host them on your own domain with SSL and a global CDN. We may add, change, or remove features over time to improve the service.
3. Accounts & eligibility
You are responsible for your account, for keeping your credentials secure, and for all activity under your account. You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live) to use Lexfold.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse Lexfold. Prohibited uses include, without limitation: unlawful, fraudulent, deceptive, or infringing content; malware, phishing, spam, or other harmful or abusive activity; content, names, or addresses that are obscene, profane, hateful, harassing, or that promote violence or discrimination; impersonating any person, brand, company, product, or service, or implying an affiliation or endorsement that does not exist; registering or trading on names intended to mislead or divert others; attempts to probe, disrupt, or reverse-engineer the platform; or use that overburdens our infrastructure.
You are solely responsible for the content you publish and the names you choose. We may refuse, remove, or reclaim anything that violates these terms.
5. Subdomains, addresses & naming
Lexfold-hosted addresses — such as a name.lexfold.com subdomain — are licensed to you for use with the service, not sold, and remain ours. We screen requested names automatically and manually.
We may refuse, reclaim, rename, or block any name at our sole discretion — including names reserved for the platform, names matching a brand, product, or service, names that are offensive or profane, and names we determine may mislead or harm others. A name removed or reclaimed for a violation may be permanently barred from future registration.
6. Your content & ownership
You retain all rights to the content you create and publish with Lexfold. You grant us the limited rights needed to host, process, and serve that content to your visitors. You are responsible for ensuring your published pages are accurate and lawful.
7. Plans, billing & cancellation
Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring basis. You can cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and fees already paid are non-refundable except where required by law.
8. Availability & changes
We work to keep Lexfold available and performant, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may modify or discontinue features with reasonable notice where practical.
9. Disclaimers
Lexfold is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. Lexfold is a publishing tool, not a law firm, and nothing in the product constitutes legal advice. You are responsible for the legal sufficiency of the documents you publish.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Lexfold will not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
11. Enforcement & removal
We may investigate suspected violations and, at our sole discretion and with or without prior notice, take any action we consider appropriate — including removing or disabling content, reclaiming or permanently blocking a subdomain or other address, rate-limiting, suspending, or permanently terminating and banning the accounts involved.
Serious or repeated violations — including unlawful content, impersonation, phishing, or abusive or profane addresses — may result in immediate and permanent termination without refund. Where required or appropriate, we may report unlawful activity to the relevant authorities.
12. Termination
You may stop using Lexfold at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these terms. On termination, your right to use the service ends; you may export your content before closing your account, except where access has been terminated for a violation under “Enforcement & removal.”
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Lexfold, Inc. is established, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted here with a new “last updated” date; continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
